The Rogosin Institute is an independent not-for-profit medical care and research organization affiliated with New York Presbyterian Hospital and Weill Cornell Medicine. Rogosin is one of the premier centers for the diagnosis and management of kidney disease in the country. The Institute also treats patients with diabetes, hypertension, lipid disorders and conducts research in these areas. We are looking to fill a full time Unit Clerk position for our Brooklyn location. Job Duties: • Responsible for assuring that all calls are handled in an efficient, expeditious and caring manner • Responds to telephone inquiries, provides information and/or direct phone calls to appropriate staff • Performs administrative support for the Center; prepares necessary forms, scans reports and medical record related documents to Darwin • Obtains and maintain files, clinical logs, laboratory results and medical records • Performs other duties as assigned by the Administrator such as assisting Social Workers with KDQOL-36 activities, related clerical functions • High school diploma or GED • At least 1 year relevant experience preferably in healthcare • Good communication and computer skills • Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information • Work professionally and effectively with patients, visitors and staff • Ability to deal with several tasks at the same time.
