The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for coding invoices and verify properly approved, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the day-to-day accounts payable function. This position plays a key role in ensuring vendors are paid timely and accurately while supporting accounting and operational teams.
Responsibilities
- Process a high volume of vendor invoices with accuracy and attention to detail
- Review invoices for proper approval, coding, and compliance with company policies
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and respond to vendor inquiries in a professional manner
- Maintain organized and accurate AP files and records
- Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts payable
- Support internal teams with invoice status, documentation, and reporting as needed
- Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- At least 1 year of accounts payable experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- Strong understanding of AP processes and controls
- Experience working with accounting or ERP systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including formulas
- High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
