We are a growing manufacturing organization in the Columbus, Ohio area seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead and evolve our procurement function. This is a high‑impact role offering the opportunity to build, develop, and lead a purchasing team while directly influencing cost strategy, supplier relationships, and operational performance.

• Own and manage all purchasing and procurement activities to support manufacturing operations
• Develop sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts, and drive cost savings initiatives
• Build and scale a purchasing team, including hiring, training, and performance management
• Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Supply Chain to support production goals
• Establish and improve purchasing processes, policies, and supplier performance metrics
• Manage vendor relationships to ensure quality, cost, delivery, and risk objectives are met

• Experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain leadership within a manufacturing environment
• Proven ability to negotiate costs, manage spend, and improve supplier performance
• Leadership mindset with interest or experience in building and mentoring teams
• Strong analytical, communication, and cross‑functional collaboration skills
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and data‑driven decision making
