Bay Area Pet Hospital is a privately owned 24/7 emergency hospital located in beautiful Traverse City, MI. We strive to provide the best urgent and critical care to our patients. We are seeking to hire an additional full time experience Patient Care Technician (scheduled 4-10's or possibly 3-12's). This individual will be responsible for the care of hospitalized pets as well as assisting in emergency surgery. Our emergency doctors are present in the hospital at all hours to tend to inpatients as well as receive emergency patients.
The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about emergency medicine, proficient in managing hospitalized patients, communicates well with team members and clients, and is dependable. Due to the nature of the position, proficiency with emergency procedures (peripheral and central line placement, CPCR, urinary catheterization, Naso esophageal feeding tubes, drug calculations) is required.
