Accounting Manager

A well-established client in the manufacturing industry is seeking an Accounting Manager. This hands-on role oversees full-cycle accounting for US entities, mentors an onsite team, and ensures accuracy across operational reporting, reconciliations, and project accounting.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close procedures
• Maintain the general ledger and perform complex reconciliations
• Produce cost, variance, and production reports including gross margin analysis by customer, part, and job
• Ensure GAAP compliance and support internal controls and audit readiness
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Supervise, train, and develop staff-level accounting team members
• Partner cross-functionally to drive process improvements and cost transparency

Qualifications

• 5+ years in accounting, financial analysis, or business administration
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory accounting
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Dynamics GP, or similar)
• Advanced Excel skills; ability to manage large data sets
• Manufacturing environment experience strongly preferred
• CPA or CMA a plus; not required
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required
