Service & Assembly Technician - Welding Systems (m/f/d)

Job description

Your tasks can include, but are not limited to:

• Perform field service work in a variety of disciplines
• Perform mechanical, electrical, and other services on iDEAL Welding System equipment at customer locations and in-house
• Perform equipment installation, including setting into operation and customer training
• Perform service evaluations and troubleshoot remotely
• Read mechanical drawings and install machines per drawings
• Read electrical drawings and install controls, including wiring
• Provide support to the following departments as needed: Service, Machine Sales, Parts Sales, Logistics
• After your training period in Lippstadt/Germany, you will work at iDEAL Welding Systems L.P. in Rockford/IL.

Required profile

Qualifications:

• Technical qualification in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or similar Initial experience in resistance welding is a plus, but not required
• Basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics preferred
• Experience with electronics and PLC knowledge would be an advantage
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Willingness to travel frequently
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Close attention to detail with a flexible and conscientious work style
