IT Support Technician, Early Level 2
Job Description
Employment Type: Full-Time, W2
Location: New Jersey, United States
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM ET with a 1-hour lunch.
Travel Requirements: This position is HYBRID, with approximately 80% of work done remotely. There is no in-office work, but client site visits will be necessary approximately 1x/week for troubleshooting. Clients are predominately located in Central and North Jersey.
About the RoleWe are hiring on behalf of a growing NJ-based managed service provider that specializes in technology support for small to medium-sized businesses, particularly in the construction industry. They've been doing excellent work for over a decade and are bringing on a dedicated technician so the team can continue to grow and serve their clients well. That's where you come in.
This is a full-time, W-2 hybrid role (80% remote) with occasional on-site client visits, primarily in Morris, Monmouth, and Ocean Counties. Mileage is reimbursed.
What You'll Actually Be Doing- Handling client support tickets via phone and email
- Managing user onboarding and offboarding
- Assisting with new hardware setup and configuration
- Using downtime to self-develop, learn new tools, and contribute to internal projects
Ticket volume is manageable and the client environments are well-maintained and standardized, so you're set up to succeed from day one.
Who We're Looking ForYou're the kind of person who doesn't need to be babysat. You can pick up the phone, handle a client with confidence, figure out a problem, document it properly, and move on to the next thing.
Baseline Experience Required:
- Remote support and ticketing systems
- Based networking concepts (DNS, DCHP, connectivity troubleshooting)
- Windows desktop operating systems and common-end user troubleshooting
- Strong documentation habits and attention to detail
Ideally, you have:
- 5+ years of IT or delivery technician experience.
- Comfort with (or ability to quickly learn) Microsoft 365 services
- A personable, professional phone presence
- Certifications (A+, Network+, Security+) are a plus but not required. Experience talks louder here.

The Offer- Salary: $55,000 to $65,000 (negotiable based on experience)

- Training: 4 to 6 weeks paid onboarding
- Background check required prior to hire
