Mechanical Engineer

Job Description Job Description Mechanical Engineering - Secret Clearance required The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, under the direction of the Technical Project Manager, to provide support for the mechanical design and testing of complex mechanical, opto-mechanical and electro-mechanical systems. Required Skills: * Responsibilities will include design, integration, and testing of complex hardware from conceptual design through fabrication and field performance evaluation. * Experience in mechanical design, assembly and environmental testing of high reliability electronic, electro-optic, mechanisms, or opto-mechanical systems for DoD or aerospace applications. * Experience with SolidWorks 3D CAD software. Preferred Skills: * Demonstrated experience with the development of opto-mechanical or electro-mechanical systems utilized on spacecraft and/or aircraft strongly preferred. * Experience in DoD, military, and/or aerospace applications highly preferred * Opto-Mechanical experience would be highly preferred. Education and Experience Requirement: * Bachelor's degree is mandatory. Candidates should have a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering OR Aerospace. A Master's degree is a plus (there is some flexibility on the years of experience if the candidate has a Master's). * Master's and 3+ years relevant experience or Bachelor's and 5+ years relevant experience.
