Executive Director, E-Commerce Partnerships
This senior leadership role sits at the center of digital commerce growth, driving strategic revenue development across high-value eCommerce and affiliate partnerships within a major media ecosystem. You will be responsible for shaping and scaling a multi-channel commerce business that connects editorial influence with performance-driven monetization strategies. The role blends high-level strategic planning with hands-on revenue execution, requiring deep expertise in digital partnerships, affiliate ecosystems, and retail media innovation. You will lead a high-performing sales organization, develop long-term partner relationships, and identify new monetization opportunities across emerging platforms and formats. Working cross-functionally with editorial, product, marketing, and branded content teams, you will help design and execute integrated commerce strategies that maximize revenue impact. This is a highly visible role that directly influences growth, innovation, and market positioning in the digital commerce space.
Accountabilities:
- Own and deliver annual and quarterly revenue targets across the eCommerce partnerships and affiliate commerce business, ensuring consistent growth across multiple revenue streams
- Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing sales team, setting clear KPIs, coaching talent, and fostering a results-driven and collaborative culture
- Define and execute the overall eCommerce partnership strategy, building long-term, high-value relationships with key affiliate and retail partners
- Drive expansion across existing revenue channels including affiliate, CPC, flat fee, and commerce-driven content partnerships
- Identify and launch new monetization opportunities across emerging digital channels such as email, display, video, and retail media platforms
- Partner closely with editorial, product, marketing, and branded content teams to develop go-to-market strategies, pricing models, and packaging for commerce offerings
- Oversee pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, and CRM discipline in collaboration with revenue operations teams
- Evaluate market trends and competitive dynamics to identify growth opportunities and innovative partnership models
- Represent the organization externally with strategic partners and at key industry events
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in digital media, eCommerce partnerships, affiliate commerce, or related revenue-driven environments
- Proven success in senior sales leadership roles with direct responsibility for revenue growth and team performance
- Strong experience managing and scaling high-performing, potentially distributed or remote teams
- Deep understanding of forecasting, budgeting, and P&L management within a commercial or media context
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate partnerships through financial, strategic, and operational lenses
- Strong network within the eCommerce, retail, affiliate, or digital advertising ecosystem
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive-level presentation skills
- Ability to operate in a highly cross-functional environment and influence senior stakeholders across multiple business functions
- Strong strategic mindset combined with hands-on execution capability in a fast-paced digital environment
