Accounting Intern
The Accounting Intern supports the finance team with day-to-day accounting functions while gaining hands-on experience in a professional environment. This role provides exposure to core accounting processes, financial reporting, and internal controls, helping the intern build practical skills aligned with their academic studies.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
- Assist with data entry and maintenance of financial records.
- Support accounts payable processes, including invoice review and coding.
- Help reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Organize and maintain accounting files and documentation.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and spreadsheets.
- Support month-end close activities.
- Reconciling balance sheet accounts.
- Analyzing expense accounts.
- Assist with audit preparation as needed.
- Conduct basic research and troubleshoot as necessary.
- All other duties as assigned

- Organized with excellent project management skills.

- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Education and/or experience requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills.
Physical requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting, using repetitive motion, typing, using hands and fingers and hearing.
- Frequent periods of standing, walking, and talking.
- Occasional periods of lifting office materials up to 20lbs.
