Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist to join a hospital-employed team in Oxford, MS. This inpatient role begins in June 2025 for a 14-month assignment, offering a stable hospital-based environment with standard daytime hours, totaling 40 hours per week. No call or weekend commitments are required, making it ideal for providers seeking consistent, predictable inpatient work.

Opportunity Details

  • Location: Oxford, MS
  • Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, daytime hours
  • Duration: June 2025 – June 30, 2026
  • Employment Type: Locum Tenens
  • Setting: Inpatient pediatric unit, acute care focus
  • No call or weekend shifts

Clinical Scope

  • Manage inpatient pediatric cases, up to 24 patients at a time
  • Collaborate with hospital staff and specialists to coordinate care
  • Document patient progress and communicate effectively with the team
  • Follow hospital protocols and policies
  • Complete licensing, certification, and compliance requirements prior to start

Practice Environment

  • Hospital-employed pediatric inpatient team
  • Full inpatient scope under hospital supervision
  • EMR: Not specified, assume standard hospital system
  • Autonomy: Full scope within hospital oversight

Requirements

  • MD degree, board-certified in pediatrics (ABP or AOBP) within 5 years
  • Active Mississippi (MS) medical license in hand
  • MS DEA registration in hand
  • Active PALS and NRP certifications
  • Recent inpatient experience managing up to 24 patients (within past 24 months)
  • Certifications and licenses must be verified prior to start
