Job Summary and QualificationsPosition Summary:
The Infection Prevention Coordinator promotes and delivers high quality, patient-centered care by assisting with the administration of Infection Prevention policies, procedures and programs. As a part of the Infection Prevention team, the Infection Prevention Coordinator identifies, investigates, reports, and monitors the incidence of hospital-acquired infections among patients and personnel, and implements policies and procedures to prevent cross-contamination. The Infection Prevention Coordinator is also responsible for assisting with in-service programs related to infection prevention and infection control.What qualifications you will need:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required: Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma OR Bachelor of Science in Nursing or health-related field
Preferred: 1+ years experience in a clinical setting
Preferred: 1+ years experience in Infection Prevention
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
Preferred: Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.
Certification in Infection Control within 2 years
Preferred: Basic Life Support (BLS)
Preferred: Membership in a professional organization
