The Role This is a unique opportunity to join a highly collaborative and mission-driven team at the intersection of life sciences, finance, and innovation. As a Senior Finance Associate, you'll play a key role in supporting the financial and operational success of our portfolio of cutting-edge life science investments. You'll partner with colleagues across the finance, investment, and investor relations functions-as well as with external administrators, accountants, and banking partners-to ensure smooth execution and reporting for all venture fund activities. Reporting Structure The Senior Finance Associate reports to the Senior Director of Finance and works closely with other members of the venture capital and innovation teams. Key responsibilities: * Manage cash flow spreadsheets to monitor portfolio company investments, returns, and performance metrics. * Collaborate with external financial professionals such as the fund administrator, independent accountants, banks, and brokers to ensure accurate, timely execution of fund operations. * Support the preparation of financial reports and presentations for the Investment Committee, Limited Partners (LPs), and internal governing boards. * Partner with internal treasury operations to align capital flow projections and portfolio performance tracking. * Oversee the annual audit and tax filing processes, ensuring all submissions and documentation are accurate and on schedule. * Create investor-facing materials, presentations, and financial summaries to support fundraising and LP communications. * Plan and coordinate capital calls and distributions. * Prepare and initiate wire transfers for investments. * Uphold strong internal controls and help safeguard the firm's financial assets through adherence to best accounting practices.
