Position Overview

We are seeking dedicated and results-driven Special Education Teachers to provide high-quality, individualized instruction and support to students with disabilities. The ideal candidate is committed to ensuring all students make meaningful academic progress by delivering targeted instruction, implementing IEPs with fidelity, and collaborating closely with general education teachers and families.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver specialized instruction aligned to students’ IEP goals
• Adapt and modify curriculum to meet diverse learning needs
• Implement accommodations and ensure compliance with all IEP requirements
• Monitor and track student progress toward IEP goals and adjust instruction accordingly
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusion and co-teaching
• Develop and maintain accurate IEP documentation and service logs
• Participate in IEP meetings and communicate regularly with families
• Create a structured, supportive, and well-managed learning environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Special Education preferred
• Experience working with students with diverse learning needs preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Commitment to supporting students in an urban school setting
