Deltek/CostPoint Accountant

Tripoint Solutions is seeking a Deltek/CostPoint Accountant to join our team in Arlington, VA. This role is critical in analyzing program and financial information, maintaining accurate records, and supporting routine accounting duties with a strong focus on Deltek/CostPoint. Location: HYBRID; (2-3 Days per week in office) MUST be located in DC, Virginia, or Maryland

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting activities within the Deltek CostPoint system, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
  • Maintain and update Deltek CostPoint configurations and master data to optimize system performance and reporting capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting function and implement best practices using Deltek CostPoint features.
  • Assist with daily, monthly, and annual accounting activities, including:
    • Monthly financial reports
    • Tax return schedules
    • Bank reconciliations
    • Audit support and discrepancy resolution
  • Support monthly closing processes (journal entries, reconciliations, inter-company, prepaid, amortization, accruals).
  • Manage contracts and subcontractor operations.
  • Configure and administer Deltek CostPoint, including:
    • Project setup and management
    • User access controls and security settings
    • Workforce assignments
    • Reporting
  • Oversee financial activities including financial controls, internal policies, payroll, reporting, month-end closing, budgeting, pricing modeling, and tax compliance.
  • Maintain and manage a DCAA-compliant timekeeping system.
  • Provide support for Deltek CostPoint Time & Expense and related modules.

Experience, Education & Training:

  • 5+ years of experience with Deltek CostPoint, including configuration and administration.
  • Proven experience with Deltek CostPoint, preferably in government contracting or professional services.
  • Strong knowledge of Deltek modules: Accounting, CRM & Contracts, Planning, Projects, Materials, People, Time & Expense, Reports & Analytics, and Admin.
  • Solid understanding of financial and accounting principles and best practices.
  • Experience managing a DCAA-compliant timekeeping system.
  • Proficiency in configuring and supporting Deltek CostPoint, including user access and system security.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now is highly desirable.
