Must possess Active DOD Secret Clearance
REQUIRED:
• Bachelor's Degree in STEM discipline or related field
In Lieu of a degree, may possess military operations and maintenance experience with radar, communications, electro-optics, sensors, military comm systems.
• Expert knowledge on MS Office Products.
• 2+yrs' exp w structured authoring apps, e.g., MadCap, FrameMaker, or Arbortext.
NICE TO HAVE:
• 5-20 years' technical writing experience.
• Standard content management strategies.
• Simplified Technical English (ASD-STE 100).
• XML, SGML, HTML, S1000 and DITA - for structured Content.
DUTIES:
Writes, rewrites and/or edits technical documents such as technical procedure manuals, user manuals, programming manuals, service manuals, operational specifications, and related technical publications to communicate clearly and effectively technical information and instructions to a wide range of audiences.
• Publish materials in various formats, including page-based, electronic, structured
• Collaborate with others on technical manuals to varying levels of detail and delivery formats.
• Perform Desktop Publishing tasks for program reports, whitepapers, articles, and other documents.
• Research and compile information to develop manual outlines
• Adhere to military/civilian specifications and standards of technical writing.
