Job Title: Quality Control Auditor Reports to: Quality Manager Position Summary: The Quality Control Auditor plans and direct activities concerned with the development, maintenance and assessment of quality systems to ensure that the Company's practices conform to both internal and external standards. Description of Duties:
Plan, schedule, and coordinate quality audits to ensure compliance with Company standards, federal regulations and contractual obligations
Develop and initiate tools and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation
Devise sampling tests to evaluate and report quality and reliability data using computer based tools
Collect, organize, review, and analyze operations and maintenance data, inspection, and assessment reports to identify trends and conditions affecting operations and maintenance performances.
Identify deficiencies or problem areas needing quality control.
Prepare accurate and concise reports.
Maintain accurate audit records, checklists and follow-up on correction of discrepancies
Support and establish quality control procedures for the operational and maintenance areas.
Compile and write training material and conduct training sessions on quality control activities
Complete all other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, architecture, project management, or another relevant discipline from a four-year accredited college or university
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a quality related position, preferably in the rail or transportation industry
Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters regarding quality practices and policies
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to be able to present findings and write clear and concise reports
Ability to organize, schedule, plan and coordinate the quality program by working with a diverse leadership team and staff
Ability to work during evenings and weekends as needed
Strong computer skills in Microsoft 365, and knowledge preferred in other project management tools or other computer based analytical tools (e.g. EAM/Trapeze/AssetWorks)
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and successfully pass a pre-employment background check, drug and alcohol screening and be willing to comply with the DTO Drug and Alcohol Policy
