Special Education Teacher - Case Manager
Location: Mendota, CA
School Year: 2025-2026 (Remainder of School Year)
We are seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher for a part-time, school-based case management role in Mendota, CA , beginning May 11, 2026 , and continuing through the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year . This is a 12-week assignment averaging approximately 30 hours per week , with the possibility of guaranteed minimum hours and flexibility if full-time coverage becomes necessary.
This position is primarily focused on case management responsibilities , including IEP preparation, documentation, and compliance , rather than classroom instruction.
Position Details
Schedule: Approximately 30 hours per week
Contract Length: 12 weeks (through end of school year)
Start Date: May 11, 2026
Student Population: TK-1st grade and 4th grade
Caseload: Approximately 20 students across two elementary sites
Role Type: Case manager (paperwork-heavy, limited direct instruction)
Interview: In-person interview required
Responsibilities
Manage student IEPs, including preparation, documentation, and compliance
Serve as case manager for assigned students across multiple sites
Collaborate with school staff and service providers
Maintain accurate and timely special education records
Utilize SEIS for documentation and reporting
Requirements
Active Special Education teaching credential
Prior experience serving as an IEP case manager
Comfort and proficiency with SEIS required
Ability to work through the remainder of the school year
Reliable attendance and professionalism
Compensation
- $45 per hour (local)
