Security Guard (US)
Description:
Job Responsibilities:Duties include but are not limited to: Monitor activity in the facility- trucks entering and leaving, traffic flow of shipping containers, location vehicles (trucks and forklifts), visitors, etc.Ensure the security of the facility- gates locked when needed, driveways clearEnsure compliance with safety and food safety policies- addressing colleagues directly for violations such as not wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment, unsafe equipment operation, etc.Monitor alarm system including fire protection system function and troubleshoot as neededReport violations and safety concerns to corresponding Leadperson or supervisor and to safety supervisorFill propane tanks for forklifts Write reports of activity on shift, any incidents that occur- in a descriptive and objective formPerform walkthroughs of facility, attending to unsafe issues as they ariseMaintain keys for and provide access to locked areas of equipment storage, other limited access areas for colleagues Perform miscellaneous assignments as instructed by security supervisorJob Requirements:Good attendance record, organizational skills, and attention to detail, professionalism, and respect for others.Applicants must be self starter, Must speak, read and write English. Ability to work a rotating shift schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays, subject to changePhysical Requirements:This position requires walking or standing for extended periods of time. The positions requires working in environments at varying temperatures and noise levels. This position requires an individual that is available to work occasional weekends and/or holidays as well as during off-hours to address emergency conditions or other situations that may arise. Pay rate is $16.00 to start, will increase to $16.50 after 90 days
