Job Summary:
seeking an experienced Quality Analyst (QA Tester) to support application testing and validation efforts. This role involves test case development, execution, defect tracking, and validation of results across enterprise applications.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java-based application testing, database validation (DB2/Postgres), and mainframe environments.
Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze business requirements and develop test plans, test cases, and test scenarios
• Perform manual testing of Java-based applications on distributed platforms
• Execute test cycles, validate results, and ensure accuracy of application changes
• Identify, log, and track defects using Jira
• Perform database validation using DB2 and PostgreSQL
• Review test outputs and ensure data integrity and correctness
• Prepare program-level and user-level documentation
• Collaborate with development and business teams for UAT and production readiness
• Ensure compliance with SDLC processes and organizational standards

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in QA Testing (Java applications)
• Strong experience with DB2 and PostgreSQL databases
• Experience in test case creation, execution, and defect tracking
• Hands-on experience with Jira
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug application issues
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent documentation and communication skills

Preferred Skills:

• Basic knowledge of Java programming
• Experience with AWS
• Familiarity with Kofax
• Experience with Mainframe systems (IBM/DELL, JCL)
• Previous experience with Department of Labor (DOL) projects

Work Requirements:

• 100% Onsite role
• Must be a local candidate in Metro Atlanta
• No relocation allowed
