Inspection Technician | Traverse City, MI

Salary Range: $48,000 - $72,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Traverse City seeking Inspection Technicians who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Utilize precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators.
• Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly, including non-conformances.
• Identify and tag non-conforming materials, initiating appropriate corrective actions.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards to ensure product compliance.
• Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment according to established schedules and procedures.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, quality control, or a related field
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and specifications
• Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, bore gauges)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or deviations from quality standards
• Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation
