POSITION DETAILSNew York City College of Technology (City Tech), of the City University of New York (CUNY), a comprehensive college in downtown Brooklyn offering associate and baccalaureate degrees, is accepting applications for an ASAP|ACE Recruitment Coordinator position. ASAP|ACE helps students earn their college degree as quickly as possible, by removing the financial, academic, and personal obstacles that many students confront. Key ASAP|ACE program features include a consolidated block schedule, cohorts by major, required full-time study and comprehensive advisement and career development services. Financial incentives include tuition waivers for financial aid eligible students, yearly textbook vouchers, and monthly transportation benefits for all students. Reporting to the ASAP|ACE Assistant Director of Recruitment, the ASAP|ACE Recruitment Coordinator coordinates and contributes to student recruiting activities. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Conduct information sessions and initial intake appointments to ensure ASAP|ACE applicants are fully informed of requirements and processes
- Support recruitment by attending and participating in campus tabling at events such as club fairs, new student orientation, and accepted students' days
- Provide information about the ASAP|ACE program and its services in person or by telephone, email, or letter
- Maintain current information about the ASAP|ACE, recruitment deadlines, and procedures
- Assist with student follow-up related to enrollment tasks such as submitting vaccination records, proof of residency, and high school diplomas
- Assist in the training and development of Student Ambassadors to ensure they can successfully support the recruitment efforts of the program
- Assist the ASAP/ACE Assistant Director for Recruitment Director with required reporting as directed
- Performs related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Strong understanding of the needs and challenges facing students in diverse metropolitan environments
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, both within the department and with faculty and other administrators
- Strong organizational, project management, written, communication, and facilitation skills
- Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records of student activities
- Computer and database skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications, and the aptitude to learn new systems as needed

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS$48,647 - $59,444. Salary commensurate with education and experience.
