Exciting opportunity for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support students across multiple grade levels in a dynamic school setting located in Red Wing, MN. This contract position focuses on providing exceptional communication assistance for grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12, including 1:1 interpreting services, ensuring equal access to education for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate effective communication between deaf or hard of hearing students and their teachers, peers, and staff in various classroom settings.
- Provide interpreting services tailored to the needs of students in grades K through 12.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while supporting a positive educational environment.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
- Current EIPA Score of 4.0 or higher, or RID/NAD certification.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in sign language interpreting preferred.
- Strong understanding of educational terminology and environments.
- Commitment to reliable, punctual attendance and professional conduct.
