Job Title - Labor & Employment Litigation Legal Assistant Company Location - Los Angeles, CA 100% On-site, Non-Exempt Full Time, Direct Hire Salary $90k, DOE Work Schedule 9am to 5:30pm **** IMMEDIATE HIRE **** Job Summary of the Labor & Employment Litigation Legal Assistant position Integr8staff seeks an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to support the transactional business litigation practices for a progressive, highly regarded and continually growing law firm in Los Angeles, CA. Responsibilities of the Labor & Employment Litigation Legal Assistant position Formatting, proofreading, redlining, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, scanning, and transmitting legal documents for labor & employment cases. Prepare pleadings and discovery documents for filing and service Schedule depositions with attorneys, clients, witnesses, and court reporters e-Filing - State and Federal Manage and plan calendar of all appointments, conferences and meetings Daily review and prioritization of client correspondence and communications Create pleading/discovery binders, indexing and filing documents, organize and file case documents. Client Intakes, editing contracts and handling mailings Schedule conference calls and on-site/off-site meetings Prepare draft engagement and confirming letters as needed Prepare and submit new matters; change intakes for existing matters concerning adverse parties and billing contact and other information and collaborate as needed Prepare and submit preliminary conflict checks on behalf of the Partner Arrange and coordinate travel arrangements Assists with overflow work and other projects assigned Maintain client confidence by keeping client/attorney information confidential Provide overflow support to the Labor & Employment Department and assist attorneys and Legal Assistants firmwide, as needed. Requirements of the Labor & Employment Litigation Legal Assistant position Minimum of 3 yrs. of labor & employment litigation experience. Experience with federal, state, and appellate court filing rules and procedures with a strong litigation background Excellent administrative, follow-up, initiative, and organizational skills are required. e-Filing and calendaring experience Calendaring using CompuLaw, experience with iManage Knowledge of preparing tables of contents and authorities. Excellent proofreading and writing skills, and great attention to detail Excellent typing, formatting, and computer software skills needed Knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, and iManage or similar document management system Prior experience supporting Labor & Employment matters strongly preferred, including familiarity with Class Action, PAGA, and Wage & Hour matters. Knowledge of Table of Content & Table of Authority, CompuLaw, Best Authority, Kofax, and CCC Macros is a plus Bachelor's Degree preferred Updated resume is required for consideration.
