Concord Recreation is seeking aParking Attendant for our White Pond waterfront location. Incumbent will managemember check-ins, selling and collecting day pass fees, parking spaces andavailability, phone calls about capacity, and selling memberships. Performs varied and responsible dutiesrequiring a thorough knowledge of departmental operations and the exercise ofjudgment and initiative in completing tasks, particularly in situations notclearly defined by precedent or established procedures.
Pay range: $19.00 -$22.00/hour*; startingpay based on qualifications. Workschedule varies with shifts ranging from 9:30am-2:00pm/2:00pm-7:00pm,Monday-Friday, and 9:30am-2:00pm/2:00pm-7:00pm on Saturday and Sunday from lateMay - mid-August.

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under the general supervision of the Assistant Director of Recreation and direct supervision of the Recreation Supervisor, manages the parking lot and capacity levels of White Pond. Responsible for maintaining and improving upon the efficiency and effectiveness of all areas under the direction and control of the position. Performs varied and responsible duties requiring a thorough knowledge of departmental operations and the exercise of judgment and initiative in completing tasks, particularly in situations not clearly defined by precedent or established procedures. Incumbent is called upon to handle a significant amount of details, each varying from the other in substance and content, requiring incumbent to approach workload with flexibility.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
External and internal applicants, as well as position incumbents who are or become disabled as defined under the Americans With Disabilities Act, must be able to perform the essential job functions (as listed) either unaided or with the assistance of a reasonable accommodation to be determined by management on a case-by-case basis.
• Direct service with members as they enter White Pond parking lot.
• Responsible for scanning/searching for members in MyRec software and checking all attendees on computer.
• Responsible for collecting day passes for guests, with and without members, and fees associated.
• Ability to sell memberships to those wishing to purchase on the spot.
• Walkie-talkie communication with Head Lifeguard on beach regarding capacity levels.
• Responsible for cross-referencing monetary revenue from MyRec, Guest sign in sheet, and lockbox cash at the end of each shift and tracking in binder.
• In charge of signage at top of driveway regarding Open/Closed/Capacity to be presented
• Performs special projects and related responsibilities as initiated and requested.
• Keeps track of available parking spaces and when to relay communication beach is at capacity
• Performs other related duties as required, directed or as the situation dictates.
• Regular attendance at the workplace is required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
None
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
• High school education; additional education or training in clerical field preferred.
• Strong experience in customer service, including handling difficult conversations
• Valid motor vehicle operator's license, with a safe driving record and ability to provide personal vehicle for occasional transportation during work hours.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
