Quality Improvement Specialist

At Valley Regional Hospital, patients are the center of our coordinated care system and right now we have an opening for a Quality Improvement Specialist and Medical staff support to join our team.
As a Quality Improvement Specialist, this individual supports the development and implementation of quality improvement measures and audits. Assists in improving quality processes throughout the enterprise through coordinating and engaging in activities to resolve deficiencies. Acts as the facilitator and/or trainer to all levels of the organization in process improvement methodologies. Monitors, performs, or manages quality improvement processes, including those supporting compliance to regulatory standards. Part of this role involves support of the Medical Staff Office, using quality improvement principles to ensure continuity of coverage through fluctuations in business systems, including medical record transition, credentialing software transition, and a transition of medical staff credentialing processes as we integrate fully into Dartmouth Health as an affiliate.
The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a quality-related specialty or QI experience in a hospital setting required.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Medical Staff office experience a bonus
- Demonstrated knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma, with the ability to apply these techniques to enhance infection prevention and quality practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, EXCEL, PowerPoint) required.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g.Tableau), Electronic Medical Records (e.g. EPIC), and database management (e.g. SQL) preferred.
- Certifications including ASQ, Lean, Six Sigma, CPHQ, CPPS preferred
