Overview of Role
ZwitterCo is looking for a detail oriented Quality Control Technician to inspect, test, and verify that materials, components, and finished products meet quality standards and specifications.
This role will support day to day manufacturing operations by identifying defects, documenting results, and working closely with production and quality teams to maintain product consistency and compliance.
The Quality Control Technician will play a key role in protecting product quality while supporting efficient manufacturing flow.

Schedule, Travel, Compensation, and Location
This is a full-time position in Woburn, MA and will report temporarily to the VP of Operations. Travel for this role is expected to be between 0% - 5%.
Compensation will be commensurate with experience and include equity and benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
Inspection & Testing
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections according to inspection plans and work instructions
- Measure and test products using basic inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, scales, test fixtures)
- Check products for compliance with drawings, specs, and quality standards
- Identify and segregate non-conforming materials or products
- Accurately record inspection results, test data, and quality findings
- Complete inspection reports, nonconformance reports, and quality logs
- Maintain traceability records for materials and finished goods
- Clearly communicate inspection results to production and quality teams
- Identify and escalate quality issues to appropriate personnel
- Support root cause analysis and corrective action activities
- Ensure corrective actions have been carried out and achieve their intended results
- Assist with re-inspection of reworked or corrected product
- Work closely with manufacturing operators to resolve quality issues in real time
- Provide feedback to production teams to prevent recurring defects
- Support audits, investigations, and quality reviews as needed
- Follow all safety, quality, environmental and quality policies and procedures
- Ensure tools and measuring equipment are properly calibrated and handled
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical training, certificate, or associate degree preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in quality control, inspection, or manufacturing role required
- Solid understanding of quality inspection methods and tools
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, or work instructions
- Experience with standard measuring instruments
- Proficient in recording outcomes through both traditional paper documentation and electronic recordkeeping systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good problem-solving and observation skills
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Able to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks during shifts
- Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC), control charts, and/or basic quality metrics
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality systems
- Experience inspecting regulated or quality-critical products
- Manufacturing or quality certifications (CQI, ASQ, or similar)
- Experience in a production or manufacturing environment is strongly preferred
