Quality Control (QC) Specialist - Textile & Laundry
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Specialist to support the performance and quality of hospitality textiles from production through end-use. This role involves hands-on product evaluation, laundry process review, and collaboration with mills, labs, and internal teams to ensure consistent quality standards.
Textile experience preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Inspections
• Coordinate and oversee inspections at mills and partner facilities
• Ensure QC standards are consistently followed
• Communicate inspection results clearly and in a timely manner
Laundry & Product Performance
• Visit hospitality laundry facilities to review wash processes and equipment settings
• Monitor temperature, chemistry, and cycle parameters
• Troubleshoot issues such as odor, wear, fading, and fabric damage
• Conduct wash testing and develop product-specific wash guidelines
Documentation & Technical Support
• Maintain QC documentation, wash guidelines, and product records
• Respond to technical inquiries (specs, CADs, product performance)
• Interpret data and support internal teams with clear recommendations
Product Evaluation & Issue Resolution
• Investigate product issues including returns, damages, and wash failures
• Document findings with photos, samples, and corrective actions
• Compare pre- and post-laundered samples against standards
Testing & Data Analysis
• Define testing requirements (construction, performance, chemical)
• Coordinate third-party lab testing and sample submissions
• Review reports and provide concise, actionable insights
Mill Communication & Claims Support
• Prepare documentation for mill communication (test data, photos, item details)
• Partner with mills on root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Support claims and chargebacks with proper documentation
Qualifications
• Experience in Quality Control, Textiles, or Hospitality Laundry preferred
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to analyze data and communicate findings effectively
• Comfortable working in both office/lab and on-site environments
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP systems a plus
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift and move boxes of textile products
• Comfortable standing for extended periods during inspections and site visits
