POSITION SUMMARY
Performs and oversees a variety of building maintenance and janitorial tasks to maintain a clean, safe and orderly building and grounds.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Achieve Results
  1. Assist in insuring that the facilities and grounds are safe and properly maintained.
  2. Assist with IT troubleshooting and tasks.
  3. Responsible for the overall cleanliness of the interior of all the clinic buildings and grounds.
  4. Responsible for keeping all the toiletry and sanitary fixtures stocked at all times.
  5. Ensures that all toiletry, sanitary and cleaning supplies are properly stocked and available when needed.

  1. Ensure and uphold the confidentially requirements of all patient records and manage al daily task and activities consistent with HIPAA, state and federal laws and regulations, as well as the clinic's policies and regulations regarding confidentiality and security.

  1. Develop and ensure effective, positive relationships within and among the clinic staff, as well as with patients, vendors, contractors, and related resources.

PRIMARY TASKS & DUTIES
  1. Assists in the loading and unloading of supplies.
  2. Observes appearances and conditions of premises and equipment; reports needed repairs, safety hazards, or conditions requiring outside vendors.
  3. Assists with moving light furniture and office equipment.
  4. Responsible for keeping all janitorial areas and equipment clean and orderly in appearance.
  5. Assists as directed in the operation and maintenance of mechanical systems, such as: plumbing, heating, ventilating, air conditioning, automatic temperature control, electrical, and central vacuum.
  6. Prepares and paints walls, trims, doors, etc. and performs other types of refinishing work.
  7. Constructs and repairs structural woodwork and equipment; works from blueprints, drawings or oral instructions.
  8. Builds, repairs and installs counters, cabinets, partitions, floors, doors, building framework and trim uses carpenter's hand tools and power tools.
  9. Installs glass in windows, doors, partitions; replaces damaged ceiling tile, floor tile and wall coverings.
  10. May recommend purchases, cost saving measures and assist with the development of the budget.
  11. Performs preventative maintenance on building equipment and assists in maintaining accurate records of preventative maintenance schedules and MSDS sheets.
  12. Performs weekly, monthly and yearly safety checks throughout the facilities to ensure a safe and clean environment for the patrons of the facility and to eliminate all hazards.
  13. Maintains records as required.
24. Reset Active Directory passwords as needed.
25. Assist IT in troubleshooting PC hardware and printer issues.
26. Acts as a liaison with IT for software and network issues.
  1. Cleans and services restrooms.
  1. Sweeps, vacuums and mops all floors.
  2. Gathers and disposes office trash.
  3. Dust such items as furniture, countertops, file cabinets, door frames, light fixtures, ledges, etc.
  4. Washes walls, baseboards, shelves, windows, mirrors, sinks, etc. using a step ladder if needed.
  5. Polishes furniture and metal work using appropriate cleaning and polishing compounds.
  6. Operates carpet cleaner.
  7. Cleans grounds and parking lot of litter and debris.
  8. Maintains an inventory of cleaning and toiletry supplies.
  9. Refills all toiletry and sanitary fixtures in a timely fashion.
  10. Scrubs, strips, sanitizes, waxes and buffs floors using power machines equipped with rotating brushes.
  11. Performs related duties as required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/KEY COMPETENCIES
  1. Ability to operate and use janitorial tools, equipment and supplies such as floor buffers, vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaners and cleaning compound and solutions.
  2. Knowledge of standard methods, practices, tools and equipment of the janitorial service.
  3. Ability to operate and use a variety of remodeling tools, such as power tools, paint brushes, carpentry tools, etc.
  4. Knowledge of standard methods, practices, tools and equipment necessary for facilities maintenance.
  5. Ability to follow instructions.

• High School diploma or equivalent. Must be able to speak read, write and understand English.
Professional
• Basic computer skills needed for clocking in, checking email, checking intranet and maintaining records.
• Communication, customer service or working with the general public, preferably in a medical care facility.

Physical/Environmental
• Ability to bend, reach and stand for extended periods.
• Physical ability to perform heavy work-exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally as needed to move objects.
• Capacity to function in a sometimes stressful, multi-tasking environment
