Litigation Associate Attorney - Austin, TX
Direct Counsel is representing a prestigious Am Law 100 global law firm seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Austin office. This full-time opportunity allows the associate to work on complex commercial and business litigation matters across a variety of industries and practice areas.
The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of litigation experience and be prepared to handle high-stakes matters while receiving mentorship and career development within a nationally recognized practice group.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complex commercial and business litigation matters, including antitrust, construction, product liability, real estate, financial services, and energy disputes.
- Take depositions and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
- Brief and argue dispositive and discovery motions.
- Interface with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
- Support mediation, arbitration, and trial proceedings as needed.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on litigation strategy and case management.
- 3-6 years of relevant litigation experience at a law firm.
- Strong familiarity with federal, state, and local procedural rules.
- Excellent writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced team environment.
- Experience with mediation, arbitration, or trial is a plus.
- Active Texas State Bar membership in good standing.
