About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Litigation Attorney to join our established litigation practice. The position involves a diverse mix of business, real estate, and employment litigation, with some potential exposure to general corporate matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle a variety of civil litigation matters from inception to resolution.
- Draft motions, pleadings, discovery, and legal briefs with strong attention to detail.
- Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice to clients.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Participate in hearings, mediations, and trials as needed.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and provide mentorship to junior team members when appropriate.
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice in Texas and in good standing.
- 5+ years of civil litigation experience, with a strong knowledge of Texas state law and court procedures.
- Excellent legal writing and oral advocacy skills.
- Prior experience conducting depositions and trial participation preferred.
- Strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple cases effectively.
- Must be based in Houston, TX (in-office)
- Candidates outside Texas or without Texas state court experience will not be considered.
- Competitive salary starting at $160,000-$200k+, commensurate with experience (depending on experience)
