Position Summary
• Literacy Tutors support participating students (LISTOS-sponsored or other Natural Resource Management students) by providing individualized and small-group literacy tutoring during academic semesters. Tutors work directly with students to strengthen reading, writing, and comprehension skills, reinforce course content, and promote academic success.
• Duties include delivering scheduled tutoring sessions, tracking student progress, maintaining accurate tutoring records, and communicating with program staff regarding student needs and outcomes.
• Literacy Tutors may assist with instructional materials, workshops, or literacy-focused activities as needed. All work is performed in accordance with university policies and program goals.

Preferred Qualifications
• Currently enrolled student in good academic standing
• Strong reading, writing, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations
• Reliable, organized, and able to work independently
• Prior tutoring, teaching, or mentoring experience
• Coursework in education, literacy, English, or a related field
• Experience working with college or adult learners
