Civil Litigation Attorney - Business/Commercial
SUMMARY :
Our client is a boutique litigation firm founded in 2010 that represents clients in complex disputes across all stages of business and enterprise development. The firm handles a broad range of litigation matters, including business litigation, real estate litigation, commercial collections, insurance coverage, class action defense, bankruptcy litigation, sports and entertainment law, and appellate practice. They are seeking a Mid-Senior Level Civil Litigation Associate Attorney with strong hands-on litigation experience. This role is best suited for a true litigator who can independently manage cases from inception through resolution.
RESPONSIBILTIES :
- Manage litigation matters from intake through resolution in state and federal courts and arbitration
- Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and other court filings
- Conduct and manage discovery, including taking and defending depositions
- Appear in court for hearings, motions, and other proceedings
- Prepare cases for trial and participate in trial work when applicable
- Communicate directly with clients and build strong working relationships
- Work independently while collaborating with partners and senior attorneys
- Handle a full litigation caseload with a high degree of ownership
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-8 years of civil litigation experience required
- Strong hands-on litigation experience (motions practice, depositions, court appearances, discovery management)
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple matters effectively
- Self-starter with ability to work independently and within a team
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school (Top 50 preferred)
- Active admission to the California State Bar
