Litigation Mid-Senior Level Associate Attorney
Location: Louisville, KY
Direct Counsel is seeking a Litigation Associate with 3-6 years of experience to join a premier litigation practice in Louisville, Kentucky. This is an excellent opportunity to work on sophisticated and complex matters from inception through final resolution within a dynamic, team-oriented environment backed by a global platform.
Responsibilities

• Manage litigation matters from commencement through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and substantive briefs.
• Propound and respond to written discovery.
• Conduct and defend fact witness depositions.
• Gather and analyze client information and develop case strategy.
• Collaborate closely with partners and associates on complex matters.
• Provide strategic, solution-oriented counsel aligned with client objectives.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of litigation experience in a law firm setting.
• Demonstrated ability to manage cases day-to-day with limited supervision.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and build consensus within teams.
• Judicial clerkship experience is highly desired (but not required).
• Must be licensed and in good standing to practice law in Kentucky.
