The ScheduleThis is a
set overnight schedule:
- Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday
- 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts)
- 3 consecutive days off every week
- Overtime opportunities available

Key ResponsibilitiesThe following duties represent the primary responsibilities of this position. Additional duties may be assigned as operational needs require.
- Maintain safety, structure, and supervision within a secure residential facility
- Conduct resident counts, inspections, and routine searches
- Monitor daily activities including work release, meals, visitation, and recreation
- Complete accurate logs, reports, and documentation in the management system
- Perform intake procedures and maintain resident records
- Respond to incidents calmly and according to protocol
- Identify and report safety, medical, or behavioral concerns
- Enforce program rules and maintain consistent boundaries
- Support a respectful, structured environment for residents and staff
Required QualificationsEducation- High School Diploma or GED
Experience- Experience working in structured environments OR
- Strong interest in working with justice-involved populations
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Sound judgment and decision-making ability
- Ability to enforce rules while maintaining professionalism
- Team-oriented with clear personal and professional boundaries
Licenses / Certifications- Valid Florida driver's license
- Ability to pass background screening and meet Florida Department of Corrections requirements
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in corrections, security, behavioral health, or residential programs
- Prior work with justice-involved individuals
- Coursework in criminal justice, psychology, or related field
Work EnvironmentThis position operates within a structured residential program environment and includes:
- Continuous interaction with residents
- Working within a secure facility setting
- Routine documentation and computer-based tasks
- Walking, standing, and monitoring throughout shifts
CompensationCompensation: $16.00/hour
Compensation is determined based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
