Corporate Litigation Counsel

Job Description

** Position Overview**

1787 Legal Group is seeking a Corporate Litigation Counsel to join its growing civil litigation team. This role involves handling complex civil matters from pre-suit investigation through resolution, including case strategy, legal research, discovery, motion practice, and client communication. The Corporate Litigation Counsel will work alongside firm leadership and contribute directly to successful client outcomes.

** Key Responsibilities**

• Manage civil litigation matters from pre-suit investigation through resolution, including case strategy development and execution.
• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on litigation strategy, legal issues, and case evaluation.
• Handle motion practice, including drafting pleadings, motions, responses, and court filings.
• Lead and manage discovery processes, including drafting written discovery, reviewing document productions, and preparing discovery responses.
• Participate in case strategy discussions and prepare matters for mediation, arbitration, and trial.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and other parties involved in litigation.
• Conduct case evaluations and factual investigations.
• Maintain organized case files and manage deadlines in accordance with court rules and firm procedures.

** Qualifications**

** Education & Licensure**

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active Arizona State Bar membership in good standing.
• Admission in additional U.S. jurisdictions is a plus.

** Experience**

• Civil litigation experience, with a preference for candidates who have handled matters through trial or arbitration.
• Experience in personal injury, commercial litigation, or other civil litigation practice areas preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with motion practice, discovery, and case preparation.
• Experience with mediation, arbitration, or trial preparation is a plus.
