Compensation: $80,000 – $90,000 per year

Position Overview:

We are seeking a technically-savvy, Accounting Manager to join a high-growth, international distribution company. This is a unique opportunity for an accounting professional who is bored with traditional "old-school" processes and wants to work in a forward-thinking environment that prioritizes AI and automation.

In this role, you will own the full-cycle accounting functions while playing a key supporting role in the transition to Sage Intacct. You will lead the month-end close and provide oversight for AP/AR, but you are also someone who isn't afraid to "roll up your sleeves" and assist with transactional coding and data entry to ensure the engine keeps running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full-Cycle Accounting: Lead the month-end close process and prepare accurate financial statements for domestic and international entities.
• System Integration Support: Assist with the implementation and optimization of Sage Intacct, ensuring the system is tailored to the needs of our global distribution network.
• AI & Automation: Actively identify and implement AI-driven tools to automate repetitive tasks, eliminate manual data entry, and increase departmental efficiency.
• Hands-On Operations: Review and manage the work of the AP and AR functions. You will also directly assist with AP coding and transactional tasks as needed during peak periods or growth surges.
• International Coordination: Manage accounting for international locations, including multi-currency reconciliations and assisting with global consolidations.
• Data Analysis: Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze inventory, margins, and distribution costs, providing actionable insights to leadership.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. Background in the distribution, wholesale, or logistics industry is highly preferred.
• Technology Mindset: You must be "technically savvy" and genuinely interested in how AI can modernize accounting.
• Software Skills: Strong experience with mid-market ERP systems. Sage Intacct experience is a significant plus, but not required for a candidate willing to learn.
• International Experience: Familiarity with international accounting nuances (multi-currency, global subsidiaries) is a major advantage.
• Excel Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, and data modeling) is required.
• The "Player-Coach" Mentality: You are comfortable managing a process while remaining humble enough to jump into the tactical details of AR/AP when the team needs support.
