Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician
Position Overview
The Quality Assurance Technician plays a critical role in maintaining food safety and quality compliance throughout the facility. This role supports daily QA operations, audits, environmental monitoring, and production activities while reinforcing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). You'll be hands-on on the production floor, proactive in identifying issues, and collaborative in helping teams resolve them.
Work Schedule
Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Occasional overtime added onto the end of the shift as needed
No weekend work required
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with certifications, customer requirements, and state and federal food safety regulations
Follow and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as well as Good Manufacturing and Laboratory Practices (GMP/GLP)
Assist with GMP audits, supporting smooth transitions from sanitation to production
Conduct line audits according to product specifications and perform routine food safety checks
Support the Environmental Monitoring Program, including swabbing procedures and related activities
Use ATP and allergen swabs to verify sanitation and food safety effectiveness
Communicate quality discrepancies, violations, or procedural concerns to supervisors and management
Support Quality Management during audits, inspections, and facility visits
Retrieve records and documentation, coordinate with personnel, and provide audit support as needed
Engage and educate employees on GMP expectations to strengthen site-wide compliance
Promote a proactive, continuous-improvement mindset related to food safety and quality
What We're Looking For
Experience working in a GMP-regulated environment
Prior experience in food manufacturing strongly preferred
Hands-on experience with ATP and allergen swabbing
Strong Microsoft Office skills for documentation and reporting
Attention to detail with the ability to work confidently in a fast-paced production environment
Clear communication skills and a collaborative, solution-oriented mindset

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Montgomery, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
