Location: Battle Creek, MI

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Pay Range: $58,000 – $68,000 annually (based on experience)

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering team. This role is responsible for completing detailed mechanical designs for a wide range of surface finishing machinery used by a diverse customer base. The Mechanical Engineer will provide expert design support throughout all stages of the product development life cycle, from concept through production and support.

Key Responsibilities

Complete detailed mechanical designs for surface finishing machines

Support engineering activities throughout the full product development life cycle

Apply sound mechanical engineering principles to design, troubleshoot, and improve equipment

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project requirements and timelines

Ensure accuracy, quality, and attention to detail in all designs and documentation

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Experience

1–3 years of experience working in a related mechanical engineering or manufacturing role

Required Skills

Working knowledge of mechanical maintenance processes, practices, tools, and equipment

Proficiency with engineering software, any of the below:

Autodesk Inventor Professional

AutoCAD Mechanical

Model Inspector for Autodesk Inventor

Cideon PLM and Conversion Engine

DWG TrueView, Autodesk Design Review

3D Connexion

Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment

Proficiency with general business software, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat

Excellent attention to detail

Strong organizational and time-management skills
