Rogue Signal Processing was founded to rapidly field prototype Quick Reaction Capabilities to the warfighter. Together with our partners, we maximize our team’s effectiveness to deliver the full cycle of EW system engineering, production, and maintenance tasks. We’re equipped to field everything from custom prototypes to high-rate production variants of complex systems.
This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Mechanical Engineer with an emphasis in analysis support, located in Sterling, VA.
Responsibilities:
- Develops, designs, and tests mechanical/structural systems and components for complex programs and advanced capability systems.
- Directs, supports, and participates in the design, test, modification, fabrication and assembly of complex prototype and production systems.
- Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems with minimal direction.
- Model, draw, and conduct flow simulation analysis using SolidWorks.
- Design custom mechanical enclosures to withstand harsh environmental conditions.
- Design custom mounting solutions and structures for antenna subsystems.
- Create part drawings for fabrication and assembly drawings for production builds.
- Diagnose equipment thermal failures to determine a solution.
Minimum Requirements
- ACTIVE Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
- BS in Mechanical/Structural Engineering or Related Field.
- Able to work independently with minimal instruction/supervision and effectively plan, organize and execute their own activities.
- 8 plus years of related experience required.
- 8 plus years of increasing experience in design, development, integration and analysis of complex hardware, RF, or DSP technologies, systems, and component solutions.
- Proficiency in thermal analysis and design tools, such as CFD software, finite element analysis (FEA), and heat transfer simulation.
- Experience with MIL-STD 810 testing to support analysis conducted.
- Experience with SolidWorks PDM.
- Ability to generate reports on thermal and structural analysis findings.
- Hands-on involvement to fabricate and test prototype designs.
- Experience with design and analysis for small form factor solutions including PCBs.
- Comfortable with minimal oversight within a flat, collaborative management organization and a willingness to take initiative.
