About the Role - Junior Telecom Estimator / Estimating Coordinator
ACG is seeking a detail‐driven Junior Telecom Estimator / Estimating Coordinator to support our growing Telecommunications Estimating Department. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organization, problem‐solving, and learning the technical side of construction and low‐voltage systems.
You will work closely with senior estimators to prepare bids, perform takeoffs, coordinate vendor pricing, and maintain accurate estimating documentation. This is a hands‐on, growth‐oriented position with a clear path toward becoming an independent estimator.
Schedule & Reporting
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. (flexibility required based on project needs)

Compensation & Benefits
• Compensation: $45,000 -$50,000 yearly (based on experience)

What You Will Do
Estimating Support
• Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and bid proposals
• Perform supervised digital takeoffs using Bluebeam, PlanGrid, Procore, or AutoCAD
• Gather pricing and compare vendor/subcontractor quotes
• Identify scope gaps and support pre‐bid research
• Participate in site visits to document measurements and conditions
Documentation & Systems
• Organize drawings, specifications, addenda, and bid documents
• Maintain quote logs, estimate logs, bid calendars, and digital filing systems
• Prepare estimate packets, BOQs/BOMs, and supporting documentation
• Build Excel trackers and organized bid summaries
Analytics & Reporting
• Provide daily and weekly updates on assigned estimates
• Track KPIs related to estimating output, quote coverage, and deadlines
• Communicate clearly with internal teams and vendors
Training & Development
• Learn to read and interpret telecom and low‐voltage drawings
• Build technical knowledge in cabling, fiber, and security systems
• Grow proficiency with Bluebeam, Procore, Buildertrend, and Sage
• Progress toward independently completing takeoffs and basic estimates
Required Experience
• 1–3 years of experience in construction, estimating, project coordination, or office administration (or strong interest in the field)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel strongly preferred)
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and communication skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast‐paced, deadline‐driven environment
• Willingness to learn new tools, processes, and technical concepts
Preferred:
• Experience with Bluebeam, Procore, Buildertrend, PlanGrid, or Sage
• Basic understanding of electrical or low‐voltage systems
