Residential Electrician

Reporting to the field service manager, the electrician will be responsible for ensuring our electrical projects are completed professionally, safely, timely. Our ideal candidate Our ideal candidate is a certified electrician with a solid understanding of electrical systems, with 3 – 5 years of experience in a residential setting and is dedicated to providing excellent service to our clients.


Key Responsibilities:


Complete residential electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting, installations, maintenance, and repairs in timely and effectively, and within compliance with NEC standards.

Ensure safety standards and building regulations are always met, and all work meets electrical codes and OSHA safety regulations.

Interpret blueprints, assess projects, and collaborate with the Estimator.

Communicate professionally with clients and provide project updates.

Oversee and mentor apprentices, fostering a productive learning environment.

Install, maintain, and repair structured cabling and fire alarm systems.

Conduct system testing and inspections to ensure compliance and functionality.

Coordinate with other trades and team members to ensure smooth project execution.

Adhere to job site safety procedures, use proper protective equipment, and promote a culture of safety.

Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any job-related issues.

Stay updated on industry best practices, new technologies, and code updates.

Inspect and test components of electrical systems, including transformers, transfer switches and switch gears

Survey electrical systems, circuits and plans

Understand your sales criteria and hold yourself accountable for exceeding revenue goals.

Maintain an organized workspace, vehicle, and inventory.


Essential Qualifications


Proof of valid certification and license to practice.

Three (3) – five (5) years of proven experience as an electrician

Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints

Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines

Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability

Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts as needed.

Diploma in relevant vocational training or successfully completed apprenticeship as an electrician
