Accounting Manager
Tax & Accounting Manager
Venus, TX, near Midlothian and Waxahachie
$125,000 to $145,000
Step out of public accounting without stepping away from good work
After tax season, a lot of people in public accounting start asking themselves a pretty honest question.
Do I want another year like that?
Usually, it is not because they have stopped enjoying the work. Most still like the technical side, the responsibility, and the problem solving. What starts to wear thin is the pace, the unpredictability, and how little control it can leave you with over your time.
This is the kind of move people make when they want something more sustainable, without giving up interesting work or real ownership.
A long established, family owned construction business near Midlothian and Waxahachie is hiring a Tax & Accounting Manager into a broad, hands on role with proper support from day one.
The business has been operating for more than 40 years, generates around $130m in revenue, employs more than 300 people, and runs around 50 live projects each year across civil engineering, groundworks, and utilities.
What really makes this one stand out is the handover.
The current Accountant has been with the business for nearly 20 years and plans to retire at the end of 2026. They are hiring now so there is proper time to learn the role, understand how the business works from the inside, and take over in the right way.
This is not a jump into industry where you are expected to figure it all out on your own. It is a proper transition, with time to get under the skin of the business before taking full ownership.
