Complex Litigation Associate

Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP is seeking a passionate and experienced associate with 3-6 years of complex litigation experience to join our Complex Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice Group. We are focused on finding an associate who would be located in New York, Washington, D.C., Boston, Houston, Seattle or any California office but are open to other locations. This role involves litigating complex disputes from case filing through trial across a diverse range of industries, including tech, finance, life science, and energy industries. Our team is engaged with a dynamic pipeline of exciting and fast-paced cases, such as commercial, trade secret, financial, energy, and product liability litigation.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, dynamic, and creative individual with exceptional interpersonal skills and a strong team-oriented mindset. Candidates must possess strong academic credentials, excellent legal research abilities and superb writing and oral communication skills. This position provides the opportunity to take on significant responsibilities, such as working directly with clients, managing complex cases, taking and defending depositions, court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and trial work. Membership in the State Bar of the desired office location is strongly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits: The expected salary range for this position is between $260,000 and $390,000. Orrick is committed to providing a comprehensive, competitive, and thoughtful total compensation package to our attorneys and staff, wherever they work. This compensation and benefits information is based on Orrick's estimate as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future. The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include, but not limited to, qualifications, relevant experience or education, particular skills or expertise, geography. Other compensation may include an annual discretionary merit bonus, which would be determined by Firm and individual performance.
