Successful recruits will be sent to the GE commissioner training in Albany, New York. Due to the robust nature of this trainingapplicants must have prior electrical experience to be considered for this role.
After completion of approximately 4-5 weeks of training, you will join our onshore team delivering high quality, safety-driven services on GE projects.
What makes you a qualified candidate for the commissioner position?
All candidates must be able to successfully complete required training for continued authorization to work on the project's scope of work.
All candidates must have a valid driver's license with REAL ID for flying or a passport; be able to pass a drug test and must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
You must be able to work in an indoor or outdoor environment in adverse conditions within confined spaces at heights above 100 feet.
Candidates must be able to work and manipulate 50 lbs. and demonstrate visual acuity including depth perception, field of view and ability to distinguish colors.

- You envision a long-term career path in Wind. After becoming a Commissioning Tech I, you can progress up to Comm II and Comm III.
- You are available to start at the end of May or first week in June.
- Verify that work is completed in compliance with customer's requirements.
- Document all work performed.
- Read, understand, and utilize written instructions. I.e., installation manual, TWP, WDI, PCAT, FCAT, CCT and others.
- Follow all assigned Environmental, Health and Safety procedures.
- Perform installation, material handling, inventory, inspection, commissioning, or maintenance of completed GE turbines.
- Document deficiencies found during inspections.
- Repair defects.
- Report policy or procedure violation.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems.
- Submit progress reports.
- Demonstrate experience and proficiency in Microsoft office applications.
- Liaise with internal and external customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to climb multiple towers per day without use of climb assist.
