Job Description
As a Delivery Assistant, you'll be an important part of making sure our customer get their freshly made orders in a timely manner. It's more than just a job, it's a way to engage with the community and make the customer's day a bit brighter. You'll learn to be an expert multitasker and test your memory skills by helping prepare foods, running deliveries, and remembering addresses. So what can you expect working as a Delivery Assistant at the Exchange?
• Greet every customer with eye contact and smile in your authentic way
• Listen to customer needs; ask appropriate follow-up questions to ensure you offer appropriate products that meet the specific need of the customer
• Ensure customers have an extraordinary experience
• Complete transactions accurately and efficiently while engaging customers in an appropriate conversation
• Use value-added suggestive selling techniques to generate additional sales opportunities and return customers whenever appropriate
• Operates an Exchange Vehicle. Maintains Cleanliness and provides basic vehicle maintenance (Check oil, tires, gas, etc.)

Job Qualifications

Additional Qualifications/Requirements
• At least 6 months of satisfactory driving experience and a valid driver's license.
• Excellent attention to detail
• Willing to cross-train and work in other areas of the store, as needed
• Must possess a welcoming and helpful attitude toward customers and other team members
• Excellent communication skills
• Basic computer skills
• Fast food experience preferred
Additional Qualifications/Requirements
MUST BE 21 OR OLDER AND AVAILABLE DURING THE HOURS OF 0600-1600 M-F VALID DRIVERS LICENCE, PROVIDE SUBWAY PREPARED FOOD ITEMS/RETAIL ITEMS TO OUR CUSTOMERS IN THE DONA ANA, WSMR, MCGREGOR OR OTHER FIELD AREAS. SUSTAIN WEATHER CONDITIONS HOT, COLD OR WET DAYS. ABILITY TO LIFT 50 LBS. PROVIDE GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Job Qualifications
Completion of high school or the equivalent. Six months or more of satisfactory driving experience and a valid motor vehicle operator's license as required by local state laws and military regulations.
If a sufficient number of qualified candidates do not apply, the minimum qualifications may be lowered without reposting.
Major Duties
Assist in establishing stock assortment, sets service, and sales goals. Deliver to customers within prescribed routes timely and accurately in accordance of policies and procedures. May assist with simple food preparation and assembly, such as sandwiches.
Operate an Exchange vehicle. Maintains cleanliness and advises supervisor when basic vehicle maintenance (check oil, tires, gas, etc.) within accordance of policies and procedures is due.
Provide high level of customer satisfaction through excellent service. Greets each customer upon contact and/or line of sight, assesses their needs, suggests alternative options, and provides resolution. Keep their needs foremost and creates a welcoming environment, actively engages, and builds trust relationship with the customer in order to deliver a personalized experience.
Operate a cash register or other sales related equipment to enter conduct sales, refunds, or similar transactions. Verify and accepts multiple tenders for payment and makes change with accuracy and zero variance tolerance. Maintain accountability for change fund, merchandise, and inventory, verifies and accept multiple tenders for payment, and makes change with accuracy and zero variance tolerance.
Assure compliance with fire, safety, sanitation, and security regulations, as well as ensuring the security of fixed assets, cash, and inventory. Practice loss prevention procedures and alerts security and management of potential problems that may involve fraud, waste, and abuse. Follows all traffic laws and safety regulations, reporting any incidents to supervisor immediately.
Actively communicates/promotes the benefits of the Military Star credit card, Exchange protection plan, and other corporate programs to customers to drive sales growth and increased customer brand loyalty.
Perform housekeeping/custodial duties as needed.
