Communications Consultant (Jr.) – U.S. Citizenship Required
CGI is seeking a Communications Consultant to support a large-scale SAP S/4HANA financial management system implementation for a federal government client. The ideal candidate will assist with the development and execution of program communications, manage the tactical communications calendar, and produce high-quality communications materials including presentations, fact sheets, and digital content. You will work closely with the OCM and Communications Lead and client stakeholders to ensure consistent, timely, and professional communications throughout the program lifecycle. This position is located in one of CGI Federal's offices in Fairfax, VA, Lebanon, VA, Lafayette, LA or Knoxville, TN; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. You will be required to work in a CGI Federal office two days per week.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
- Participate in the development and execution of program-level communications under the strategic direction of the OCM and Communications Lead.
- Develop, maintain, and update the tactical communications calendar and tracker, ensuring all activities are planned, coordinated, and delivered on schedule.
- Assist with creating and maintaining the program branding kit, messaging templates, email templates, talking points, and fact sheets.
- Design and produce high-quality visual communications materials including presentations, infographics, newsletters, and digital content.
- Manage and maintain the program SharePoint communications hub, ensuring content is current and accessible to all stakeholders.
- Assist in planning and executing program-wide engagement events including AMA sessions, all-hands meetings, and stakeholder briefings.
- Prepare executive briefing materials and program status updates for senior leadership and governance bodies.
- Develop and deliver implementation communications for impacted federal agency employees.
- Coordinate communications activities with the OCM team to ensure messaging is aligned with change management strategy.
- Support the development and distribution of training communications in coordination with the training team.
- Maintain the communications resource log documenting all communications distributed throughout the program.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
- Due to contract requirements, U.S. citizenship and successful completion of a CGI background check are required prior to the start of work. Candidates must also have the ability to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD/Public Trust clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, marketing, or a related field.
- Up to 3 years of communications experience, federal government communications preferred.
- Strong knowledge of communications principles, strategies, and best practice.
- Strong writing, editing, and plain language communication skills.
- Experience developing and managing communications calendars and editorial workflows.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
- Experience developing and executing communications strategies and plans to support successful user adoption.
- Graphic design proficiency, Canva, PowerPoint, or Adobe Creative Suite.
- SharePoint content management experience.
- Experience planning and executing town halls, all-hands meetings, or large stakeholder engagement events.
- Proficiency in SharePoint, and Jira.
- PROSCI certification OR equivalent change management certification.
- SAP OCM Experience.
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $79,600.00 - $194,000.00.
