Chicago, IL. The firm supports a hybrid schedule after an initial training period, with a typical rhythm of two remote days and three in-office days per week (adjusted as needed for court, depositions, and case demands)
Must be an Illinois-licensed attorney with 2+ years of litigation experience and meaningful courtroom and deposition experience. Permanent U.S. work authorization is required

Defend medical malpractice matters and handle a broad range of litigation tasks from early case assessment through resolution
Draft and argue motions, manage discovery, and prepare pleadings, briefs, and other persuasive legal writing
Take and defend depositions, work with experts, and help shape case strategy on complex liability and damages issues
Appear in court for hearings, status conferences, and other litigation events as needed
Communicate clearly with clients, carriers, and internal stakeholders while balancing multiple deadlines
Work closely with partners and senior attorneys while steadily growing independent case responsibility
Active Illinois Bar license in good standing
2+ years of litigation experience, ideally including medical malpractice defense, professional liability, or insurance defense
Courtroom experience and deposition experience that you can speak to in an interview
Strong legal research and writing skills with excellent attention to detail
Organized, proactive, and comfortable owning deadlines and moving work forward
