Job SummaryPosition mostly consists of filling prescriptions
and serving individuals that present to the pharmacy. Delivering medications to
off-site locations as needed throughout the week is expected. Will need to
perform other duties as necessary to maintain pharmacy services. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesShift schedule is
Monday - Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pmFill
prescriptions and compliance packaging (bubble packs).Assist WCS staff
and other consumers or vendors presenting to the pharmacy.Deliver
medications to other WCS locations and agencies served by the pharmacy.Receive and
triage phone calls.Check e-mails
regularly.Place orders to
wholesalers and manage inventory.Process
return-to-stock medications.Check for expired
medications routinely.Complete all
other routine tasks necessary to maintain pharmacy services.Assist other
pharmacy staff with tasks as needed.
Required
QualificationsHigh school diploma or GEDTwo years of experience as a pharmacy technicianValid driver's licenseMeets all employee requirements including references, criminal
background check, driver's license check, etc.Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) is preferredExperience in social work is beneficialKnowledge,
Skills, and AbilitiesStrong sense of teamworkAbility to multi-task and work well in a busy and demanding environmentExcellent customer serviceFamiliarity with Medicaid/Medicare and compliance with those programsAble to learn and understand pharmacy software (Speed Script)Able to learn and understand the policies and procedures of the
pharmacy.Adjust well to change and implement new policies and procedures when
they occurStrong troubleshooting abilitiesRemain organizedUnderstanding that the people we serve may present to WCS at time
when their severe and persistent mental health diagnosis is most symptomatic
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Able to stand and work at a computer most of the day. Also able to regularly reach,
bend, and walk. Can lift a minimum of 20 lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be
made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
