Job DescriptionDuties
- You will be responsible for the stewardship, execution, and oversight of Weapons Procurement, Navy (WPN); Other Procurement, Navy (OPN); Procurement, Ammunition, (PANMC), Procurement Marine (PMC) and Shipbuilding and Conversion-Navy (SCN) budgets.
- You will prepare briefs for senior managers on program execution and provide recommendations to correct program variances or problem areas.
- You will develop and maintain recurring and ad hoc reports supporting budget execution and financial planning utilizing various financial systems to include Navy ERP and Navy Program Budget Information System (PBIS).
- You will interpret Department of the Navy Office of Budget (FMB) budget guidance and oversee timely submission of accurate budget products in accordance with DoW and DON financial management standards
- You will conduct management evaluation of issues of financial consequence raised in audit reports, budget reviews, etc. and recommends alternatives for corrective action.
- You will integrate financial management with acquisition planning to ensure funding strategies align with program milestones, contract actions, and delivery schedules.
- You will serve as a liaison between financial management and acquisition communities to promote integrated decision-making and execution discipline.
- You will review funding documents and contract modifications in accordance with finance and budget-related laws, regulations and polices.
- You will ensure accurate forecasting, phasing, and execution tracking across POM, budget, and execution years, minimizing under-execution and funding risk.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This is a Financial Management Level 3 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
